It’s that time of year again, Mother’s Day is approaching. Do you give your mom a gift for Mother’s Day? If so, do you find yourself reaching for the same thing every year? No need for flowers, chocolates, or heart-shaped jewelry- I put together a small list of easy Mother’s Day gift ideas that any mom would love.
Take a Photo
One year my sister and I had a professional photograph taken together and framed a copy for our mom. Take a photo of yourself or a photo with your siblings. It doesn’t have to be professional, even a picture taken with your iPhone will do. Honestly, how often do you take a photo with your siblings? (And one where someone is not making funny faces? Some things never change as you get older.)
Create a Scrapbook
Put together a bunch of photos of you and your mom, write about memories of your times together, tell her all the things you are grateful for. You don’t have to make it fancy, but mom will appreciate the time and effort you put into it.
Pick up the telephone and give your mom a call. Talk for five minutes, talk for an hour; it doesn’t matter. Guaranteed, it will make her day to know you are thinking of her.
Give Her Time
The most appreciated gift one can give may certainly be the gift of time. Whether it be a couple hours watching a movie together, a conversation and coffee, a walk in the park, or dinner, mom would love to spend time with you.
Have a great Mother’s Day!
